The large, floorstanding OPTICON 8 MK2 is the powerhouse of the new OPTICON MK2 family and the only three-way model in the series. It combines enormous low-frequency bandwidth, powerful volume, and dynamic accuracy with the exceptional detail and transparency of a dedicated midrange driver. The OPTICON 8 MK2 offers extended bass response, making it suitable for installation in larger listening rooms where walls are somewhat further apart.

The large, floor-standing OPTICON 8 MK2 is the powerhouse of the new OPTICON MK2 series. It combines two 8-inch wood fiber cone woofers with a 6.5-inch midrange driver—all featuring our patented SMC magnet system. Thanks to its size and true three-way construction, the OPTICON 8 MK2 offers a level of performance unmatched by any other model in the previous OPTICON series. It combines enormous low-frequency bandwidth, powerful volume, and dynamic accuracy with the exceptional detail and transparency of a dedicated midrange driver. The high frequencies from the hybrid tweeter are highly detailed and revealing, yet velvety smooth, for extended listening sessions. The OPTICON 8 MK2 offers bass performance suitable for installation in larger listening rooms where the walls are somewhat wider apart. The OPTICON MK2, like the MK1 series, remains entirely manufactured in Denmark. They are built at our factory in Denmark; with components that we either make in-house or source from the best local and global specialists.
