With a pre-assembled cartridge - so you can play records in minutes - the belt drive Alva ST also features switchable Hi-Res Bluetooth streaming and an integrated phono stage. Everyone should be able to enjoy the freedom that Alva brings. King of convenience Alva ST is for people who want to listen to records with exceptional quality - without the need to choose or install additional components. Alva ST keeps it simple with a perfectly matched cartridge pre-installed. Alva ST can also be connected to almost any audio system, as it has a switchable integrated phono stage. It even works wirelessly with Bluetooth speaker systems. Hi-Res Bluetooth Built-in Bluetooth aptX HD frees Alva from the rest of your hi-fi. With the freedom to place an Alva deck on any flat surface, your records take center stage. Music can be streamed to any compatible Bluetooth kit, including headphones, in up to 24bit/48kHz Hi-Res quality. Or you can deactivate it and just use phono cables - the choice is yours. Integrated phono stage Alva ST has an integrated phono stage (phono pre-amp), derived from our award-winning Alva Duo - to reveal incredible details from your records. This means you can connect the Alva ST to any amplifier or compatible speaker system. You can also disable the deck's phono stage - ideal if your amplifier already has one or to keep upgrade options open. MM Cartridge pre-installed After hours of listening, we selected an Audio Technica Moving Magnet cartridge for installation on the Alva ST. Without complicated installation, you can play records within minutes. The elliptical stylus provides a larger contact surface with the grooves of your records, ensuring accurate information tracking and, of course, making the music sound great. Belt drive Alva ST uses the proven belt drive method, supplemented with electronic motor speed control. After connecting the belt for the first time, you no longer need to look under the plate. The rotation speed is selected by 2 convenient electronic buttons on the aluminum top of the ST - allowing you to effortlessly switch between album and single playback. Aluminum, Tuned The platter of the Alva ST is cast aluminum, finished by CNC to ensure a completely flat and smooth surface. The 17mm high aluminum platter is finished with a 5mm rubber mat - a combination proven to reduce unwanted resonance. Completely new tonearm After hours of testing, our engineers selected a new high-mass, low-resonance tonearm for the Alva TT V2 and Alva ST. By minimizing resonance frequencies, and in combination with the cartridge, it helps get the maximum detail out of your records. A removable, die-cast aluminum headshell makes changing cartridges easy - and then can be adjusted with greater precision thanks to a new anti-skating dial. Designed for life A record collection lasts a lifetime, so why not a record player? We built the Alva ST like this, with a 1mm aluminum top plate and a layer of EVA to absorb vibrations, on top of MDF. It sits in a composite chassis and weighs 9 kg.
