The Onkyo NS-6170 is a high-resolution network audio player designed to stream digital music with audiophile-grade analogue sound quality. It uses a twin-monaural hardware architecture that separates the left and right channels entirely to eliminate interference and maximize stereo precision.
Premium Internal Architecture
The player is equipped with two flagship AK4490 768 kHz 32-bit DACs. Each channel has its own dedicated DAC chip to process the audio waveform separately. It features independent power supply lines, custom-designed capacitors, and a specialized transformer for each channel to increase voltage stability. It also includes Onkyos proprietary Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry to remove ultra-high-frequency digital noise without altering the sound character.
